After a few fits and sputters Bastard Friendly finally found its footing in the summer of 2013 when I convinced Patrick to invest some time in the project during a Syringe hiatus. It didn't take long to find a good rhythm section and we are quickly amassing a multitude of ridiculously catchy punk songs. Punk rock was the obvious choice for the "Fun" experiment. I've grown tired with the seriousness and posturing of heavy metal. Now that I'm in a punk band I don't feel like I have to hide how much fun I'm having playing music and no subject matter is taboo. I can have fun now. If a metal band were to perform "Our Band Sucks" they'd be booed off the stage, but when we do it people cheer and say, "Yeah, your band does suck."
